ORDNUNG plays Reading Film Fest

Brody Barickman in “Ordnung”

(Reading, PA – September 30, 2019)

Ordnung, produced in May 2019 by students in Edinboro’s Film & Video program, has been selected for screening at this year’s Reading Film Fest. Made by upperclassmen in Professor Brian Fuller’s Film & Video Production IV course, Ordnung will feature in a program of narrative shorts that will open the four-day festival on Thursday, October 31. The films will screen at Reading Movies 11 & IMAX, 30 N 2nd Street, beginning at 6pm.

Ordnung – honored in May by the New York Independent Aphrodite Film Awards – tells the disturbing true story of Edward Gingerich (Conner McNelis), the first Amish man to be convicted of homicide. Detective Geraldine Bey (Krista Rayne Reckner) faces down Gingerich’s paranoid schizophrenia to probe the motive for a crime of gruesome dismemberment. The movie was directed Megan Ciafre and produced by Taylor Prach.

The Edinboro University of Pennsylvania Art Department has offered instruction in film and video production since 1969. Graduates of the program routinely contribute to high-profile studios, films, and television shows.
