(Los Angeles, CA – December 15, 2021)
Alex Ho, a 2019 Applied Media Arts graduate who concentrated in Film and Video, was accepted this week to Walt Disney Television’s Executive Incubator program. One of only eight chosen from thousands of applicants, Ho will relocate to Los Angeles after the first of the year.
Ho will rotate in three-month assignments across five different Disney networks, gaining experience in development, casting, production, and marketing. His two-year apprenticeship will conclude with a nine-month “deep-dive” at 20th Television with a goal of job placement there.
Disney launched the Executive Incubator Program in 2019 to create opportunities for individuals with diverse and varied perspectives including women, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and people with disabilities.
Within weeks of his graduation, the Fighting Scot was hired as a Technical Evaluator of video content at National Geographic’s Washington, DC headquarters. He’s been a Production Assistant with NatGeo (a Disney brand) since April 2021.
“I’m so proud of Alex I’m about to bust every button I own,” says Assistant Professor of Digital Filmmaking Brian Fuller, “If there’s one thing I love more than alumni success, it’a alumni coattails. Our L.A. cluster of rock stars is creating connections for the next generation of Edinboro grads.”
